Alrighty... I have decided to make use of this whole "karma" feature on our forum, because it only seems to be getting more pointless each day.
I have an idea for it... making it into a point system. You can win karma by winning trivia, and by hosting it, as well as when other people want to give you a karma point out of sheer niceness (so be friendly!)
I'm also adding a "Member of the Month" contest. So basically... being a good neighbour, always *trying* to stay on topic, and not flaming people for having their own opinions you can win a karma bonus.
Here is how karma will be rewarded (so far)
Encouraging comment/advice to another user-- 3 points
Getting a thread back on topic-- 5 points
Hosting Trivia-- 5 points
Recruit a Member-- 5 points
Winning Trivia-- 10 points
Contributing an Article to the site-- 20 points
Member of the Month-- 30 points
Contributing a Walkthrough/FAQ to the site-- 50 points
As well, there will be ways to lose karma (so far)
Flaming another user-- minus 5-20 (depends on severity of insults)
posting SPAM-- minus 3
Posting a message that leads a whole thread off-topic-- minus 8
Posting something vulgar-- minus 15
Alrighty.... you're probably wondering why you get these points in the first place, right? well... here's what you can "buy" with these hard-earned karma points (so far)
new avatar-- 50 points
new sig-- 80 points
become mod (any 1 board of choice)-- 150 points
**new**!!!! all new members who join, from this day forward, will get a "starting karma" bonus of 15

It sounds good, it's really pointless right now, er, considering somehow you got 666 Karma

yeah, but sooner or later we'll have to XD that's what forums were made for 
and yes... because i'm busy with Hiroshi's World, as well as my deviantart drawings, my services for avatars and sigs do not come free XD mwahahahaha (also because i will be busy once school starts)
and besides, doesn't it feel better to EARN that new avatar/sig? rather than mooching off my photoshop XD hehe...
however, there ARE free avatars in the drop down list, as well as sigs on other graphics sites that you can... um... steal XD so its not like you HAVE to use mine XD
